An accounting major and graduate of Concordia College, Tom never imagined that he would end up owning a car dealership. Together with his brother Joel, Tom took the entrepreneurial risk and has now been a car business owner for 30 years. His experience in sourcing quality vehicles from auctions around the nation drives inventory fitting your needs at the right price. He loves the hunt and hustle for the right car and ensuring client satisfaction with our products and service.
In the time that the laptop gets closed and the phone set aside, Tom loves to relax at home on the lake with his wife and daughters, 3 spoiled cats, and a Miller Lite. He is quite the grilling connoisseur and prides himself in his vast knowledge of music, seeing if his family can name that tune. The place he finds the greatest relaxation and most revitalizing is Lake Tahoe, where the fresh pine air and snow powder is all Tom needs to enjoy some skiing.
Dennis graduated with a degree in accounting from Concordia College. Little did he know that he graduated with the same degree, the same year as his future employer, Joel Krusemark. Dennis has been keeping things running smooth for Krusemark Automotive for over 20 years.
He appreciates the simple things in life: time with family, walking with his wife, doing yard work, and enjoying nature through camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. Consequently, his go to anthem is “Fishin in the Dark.”
Greeting you on the phone and at the front desk of the dealership is Deidra. For years, Deidra served customers at her local gas station, multi-tasking and becoming skilled in many areas of the business. She enjoys the change in pace and the structure in her job as an administrative assistant at Valu, but what really makes her role great are the personalities of all the people she gets to work with.
In her free time, Deidra enjoys playing with her son and her boyfriend’s kids and taking their dogs, Shelby & Rebel, for walks. Fitting for her workplace, Deidra has always really liked cars. Growing up, she and her family would go on camping trips and center their vacation around some of the biggest auto shows in the nation. If she could have any car, she’d love a Dodge Challenger, but after getting a ride in the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Trailhawk at this spring’s auto show in Minneapolis, it’s a toss-up!
Although Hope started her career as an elementary teacher, she’s finding it very interesting learning her own lessons within her social media/marketing position at Valu Ford & Chrysler. A self-proclaimed Facebook and Pinterest addict, she enjoys using her eye as a consumer to analyze the back end of online marketing. Between occasional visits to the dealership, Hope’s in good company working from home alongside her furry feline friend, Archie.
Hope and her husband enjoy their weekends at a little log lake cabin where she’s greeted by sunrise yoga on the deck and coffee with a view. She brakes for yard sales and won’t miss the chance to find hidden treasures to decorate her home at the flea market.
Loyalty is one word that describes Todd. He’s been with Valu Ford for 25 years! His experience speaks volumes in selecting new car inventory for our lot. What’s kept him with us all this time? “Everyday is different. You never get bored. I love the people I work with and have a supportive wife allowing me to work the hours I do.”
An avid hunter, Todd enjoys escaping to his 60 acres of hunting land where little cell phone reception lends itself to a peaceful getaway. He’d easily take a week’s vacation there; however, Jerusalem remains a place he’d love to visit someday.
Mike prides himself in his role as a consultant and feels it’s his responsibility to find a vehicle matching your needs. Not only does he go over and above to find you the right vehicle at the right price but he works to help you know your new vehicle inside and out.
In his spare time, Mike loves to coach youth hockey, take his four sons to open hockey night at the rink and golf. He cannot live without his family and a perfectly grilled steak cooked by none other than himself!
Ordell has spent his whole career in parts and service, having worked on small engines, trucks and cars. He enjoys the satisfaction of being able to make something run smoothly again. Ordell uses his spare time to hunt with his hunting lab Duke, repair small engines and fish. In fact, during his annual family trip to a rental cabin, Ordell barely even leaves the water!
With an entire career of experience in mechanics, Greg has worked on Ford vehicles since 1979 and Chrysler since 1985. He likes fixing things and enjoys staying busy, solving the wide variety of problems he encounters daily in the vehicles he services.
Greg also loves fishing, aiming to catch whatever is biting. His first vehicle was a 1969 Ford e300 van but he also owns a 1990 F150 and 2003 Superduty.
A graduate of Wahpeton School of Science, Bill spent his first 12 years working in Wahpeton in mechanics until a friend referred him to Valu Ford in Elbow Lake (Elbow Lake Ford and Mercury). He has been with us ever since, enjoying his co workers and the pleasure of getting things back and running.
Bill adores his family, taking care of and spoiling his two grandchildren and grandpuppy. His first vehicle was a 1974 Plymouth Duster. Today, he dreams about a new Dodge Challenger, appreciating how they look true to the 1970s.
